Self-reflection and a clear direction are important for any company. That is why we have added a new value – family-spirit – to our values – open-minded, competent – innovative – and have sharpened the existing values through employee representatives.

What do our corporate values stand for? 

Corporate values are the central guidelines that serve as orientation in our everyday work and for achieving goals. Through our maritime connection of our company history, we associate our values with a helm that keeps our ship (symbolic for company) on course and with whose help we move together in the same direction – steadily forward. The company values reflect how employees work and interact with each other. They explain the extent to which our company takes responsibility for the well-being of employees. Corporate values are the foundation of our culture, but also the engine for change. They increase employee engagement and boost productivity. When lived properly, these guiding principles serve as a guide for employees to manoeuver their way around the company and get them safely through the strongest waves.

How do we ensure that our values are communicated within the company?  

Our values were sharpened in March 2022 and expanded to include the value “family-spirit”. For this purpose, young staff members of the company met in a multi-day values workshop to modernise them. In order to guarantee that our values are perceived as a guiding principle and are also lived top-down, the values are discussed in workshops.
